Do you have writers block?

Fine writers throughout history have had writers block. Some examples:Sam Coleridge, Leo Tolstiy, Virginia Wolf, and Ernest Hemingway to name a few. The truth is, most writers get to a point to where they just can’t think of what to write. This article will give you several tips to cure your writers block, and be on your way to writing again.

Maybe you have writers block because you have too much activity in your life. This is one of the most common reasons of writers block. Take some time to get done what you need to do, and come back to writing when you are compete with your chores.

If that doesn’t work, you are going to have to take a break, relax, spend some quiet time to yourself, doing what you enjoy doing. Watch some television, read a book. If you can find a way to stop over thinking, eventually things will start coming to mind. Remember, stop over thinking, let your creative skill flow natural again. Get a piece of paper, and start writing down what comes to mind. Remember, don’t force your thinking, especially if you are a creative writer.

Listening to music can also have a positive effect. This will stimulate the creative part of your mind. Go ahead, and play some of your favorite tunes. Don’t forget to eat right. Remember that the right foods are power for the mind.

Remember when you learned brain storming in school? Get a piece of paper and pen with your subject in hand, and write down what comes to mind for the subject you are writing. For example : let’s say I am writing an article on writers block, I am going to get a piece of paper, and a pen, and start writing what comes to mind. If a famous writer that has had writers block comes to mind, I will list that.

You can go for a walk somewhere, eventually, you will clear your mind, and start thinking. Exercise, helps. If you happen to have a dead line, keep in mind that pressuring yourself will only make it worse. Take time, if only 40 minutes, to stop thinking about it.

Some people can benefit by looking at old pictures, Going to the movies,or going their favorite restaurant to name a few. However, you get the point. The best thing to do for writers block is to stop thinking so hard about what you have to write about. I hope this helps you in your journey, and happy writing.
